When sebaceous glands become clogged with sebum, bacteria and fatty acids, we speak of acne. Acne occurs in 85% of people between the ages of 12 and 24. It is mainly manifested in parts of the body where there are many sebaceous follicles. Such as on the face, chest, and upper back. All forms of acne and acne scars are treated by the dermal therapist. If the acne is very severe and restless, the help of the doctor or medical specialist can be called in. In this case, recipes can be prescribed that inhibit inflammation & sebum production and reduce the growth of bacteria. The dermal therapist can treat acne and acne scars by cleaning the skin manually, using chemical peels, microneedling and laser therapy. Often a combination of treatments is needed to map out the desired result. In addition, advice is given on skin care products and self-management. An intake interview will take place prior to the first treatment. During the intake we look at what exactly is going on, then you will receive an explanation about the treatment options.

This peeling is perfect for pigment spots, fine lines, large pores, skin aging, sun damage, pale/gray skin (smoker's skin), acne (prone) skin. The treatment protocol consists of 4 peeling sessions with an interval of 8-14 days in combination with SkinTech products aimed at addressing the treatment objective and protecting the peeling skin against UV and Heat.
Microneedling is a treatment in which needles injure the dermis so that growth factors are activated and collagen and elastin are stimulated. This makes the skin visibly smoother in color, thicker, stronger and more resilient.
Microneedling is used for various skin problems:
After the treatment, the skin is red, this can last up to 48 hours. In addition, the skin may feel warm and prickly. During intensive treatment the skin may bleed, this is normal and not serious. After the treatment, it may be that bruises occur or that the skin starts to peel. This lasts for about 3 to 4 days.
After the treatment, the skin must be well protected against the sun. Multiple treatments are required to see optimal results. This is because the skin takes time to produce collagen and elastin. It differs per person how many treatments are required to achieve the desired result. 4 to 8 treatments are recommended
This peeling is perfect for acne scarring, acne prone skin, fine lines, skin aging, sun damage, pale/gray skin, pigment spots. The treatment protocol consists of 2 peeling sessions in combination with dermapen treatment, with an interval of 8-14 days in combination with SkinTech products, aimed at addressing the treatment objective and protecting the peeling skin against UV and Heat.
A vampire facial is the same as a microneedling treatment but Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is used. PRP is taken from your own blood and put back into the skin. This ensures that a localized stem cell response is initiated. PRP ensures a tighter skin and also ensures that the healing process is accelerated.
The top (damaged) skin layer is released by a chemical peel. This can cause you to shed, which stimulates the production of new skin cells. After multiple peels, the skin becomes smoother and brighter. Chemical peels can be applied to everyone. This could be to address a skin problem or if you want a "boost" for the skin. If it concerns a skin problem, a treatment will be adjusted to obtain the best result in this way. The following skin problems can be treated with a chemical peel:
acne, acne scars, fine lines, large pores, dull skin texture, pigmentation spots. The skin is red in color after the peeling and disappears within a few hours. Scabs / really small blisters may develop which will come off by themselves. It is very important that the skin is left alone and not scratched. Sun protection is also very important. An SPF of 30 or higher should be applied several times each day to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Cryolipolysis is used to break down fat cells by freezing them. Other cells, the skin and underlying tissue are not damaged by the cold. The area to be treated is evacuated and slowly cooled to a temperature of -9 degrees Celsius. This is a 45 minute process. Because the body removes these broken down fat cells naturally, it is very important to drink plenty of water. Cryolipolysis is very effective in reducing fat and has much less side effects such as liposuction. Although this treatment can remove the fat, one should keep in mind that it is not a miracle device and cannot expect complete fat reduction. For the best results, it is recommended to drink plenty of water, exercise enough and eat a normal diet. In addition, it is important that people know that the "loose" skin is not tightened with this treatment. On average, 3 treatments are needed every 6 to 10 weeks for best results.
Laser therapy is widely used for unwanted hair growth. Large surfaces can be treated in a short time. Pigmented hair (black, dark brown and brown) can be treated well with the laser. Gray, white, blonde and red hair are difficult to remove with laser therapy and are therefore often not performed. In general, 8 treatments are recommended every 4 to 6 weeks for best results. Consistency is very important during this entire period in order not to lose the result already achieved. Between treatments it is important not to wax or epilate and only shave.
Tattoo Regret? It can be faded or removed by means of a laser. The laser beam is aimed at the tattoo, causing the energy from the laser to destroy and disintegrate the ink molecules in the skin. In simpler terms, the ink is broken down in the skin. The laser beam is strong and precise enough to break down the ink in the skin but does not damage the skin and tissue around it. The broken down ink molecules are removed by the body via the white blood cells. The tattoo fades slowly and after a few treatments clear results are visible.
The treatment is fairly quick and may feel slightly painful. During the treatment you will see that the skin turns white, which then disappears. Between each treatment we give the body time to clean up the broken ink. The result differs per person and it can never be said with 100% certainty how quickly and to what extent the tattoo will be removed.
Hyperpigmentation occurs when there is excessive melanin production in the skin. This manifests itself in dark spots. Laser treatments offer a very significant improvement in lightening or completely removing these dark spots. The concept can be compared to the removal of a tattoo with a laser. The laser ensures that the unwanted melanin breaks down into miniscule particles, which are then removed by the body. This causes dark spots to lighten. Immediately after the treatment, the skin may be red and warm, this can last for several hours. In addition, it can happen that the hyperpigmentation darkens temporarily and then slowly decreases. The number of treatments differs per person. On average, there are about 2 to 6 treatments every 4 to 8 weeks.
The Carbon Laser is an innovative laser resurfacing treatment. The face is covered with a layer of carbon and is then treated with the laser. This treatment is intended to restore the sebum balance of the skin and at the same time gives a fresh and even "glow" to the face. After several treatments, the skin regenerates, leaving the texture of the skin more even, visibly brighter and less greasy.
The Carbon laser treatment works by applying a thin layer of carbon on the skin's surface and then applying a laser treatment over it. The carbon particles absorb toxins and excess oils on the skin. The energy from the laser vaporizes the carbon, removing dead skin cells in the pores. In addition, the thermal energy stimulates the production of new collagen and the promotion of a healthy looking tone. The skin structure is visibly strengthened and coarse pores are purified and faded.
Fibroblast Skin Tightening is a treatment that tightens loose skin. The tension in the air between the tip of the device and the natural gases of our skin, an ionized plasma charge is formed. Once this happens, the skin immediately shrinks. Results are visible immediately after the first treatment and has a healing time of 5 to 7 days. However, full results are only visible after 12 weeks. Often 1 treatment is sufficient, but it sometimes also happens that 2 or 3 treatments are needed.
The term 'soft surgery' is often used for this treatment because it produces almost the same results, however, no surgical knife is involved, the 'down time' is much less, there is a much lower risk of infections and this is a is much more affordable compared to an actual procedure
